With the world’s mindset being on smarter, greener operations, then it makes sense that the Forklift Industry will also be looking to do their bit towards the environment.

At the same time as looking at greener, more environmentally suitable options, if there is a way that companies can also work smarter and develop new techniques then many are looking to take these ideas on board.

The engineers at CAM Forklift Trucks based in Sheffield have been working with Managers at George Walker Transport to work on new ideas and techniques to improve the role of Forklift Trucks in the material handling operations.

Back in 2016, they began updating the fleet at TCM with 20 new forklifts and 20 powered pallet trucks. Furthermore, the company is now expected to take delivery of another 13 TCM trucks.

The company made the decision to use TCM gas-fuelled trucks due to their performance, safety features and also operator comfort. The TCM trucks offer lower fuel costs and lower emissions and still they have a capability of 2.0-ton lift capacity with sound construction and heavy-duty breaks.

The engineering of these forklifts state that over a five-year lease period the saving in fuel economy alone will amount to a six-figure sum.

Employee satisfaction is becoming more and more important to employers and it has been proven that employee satisfaction and involvement is more powerful that supervision alone.

With that in mind, it’s important to have the right training to accompany the right members of staff and technology and this is where Forklift Agency can help.

Forklift Agency provide health and safety approved training to both companies and individuals. They don’t charge travelling costs and will provide the training at a time and place to suit you.
