How easy is it to get a Forklift Licence?

The true fact is, there isn’t really such a thing as a Forklift Licence, however you do still need to go through the same sort of motions as taking your standard car test.

Forklift Training

Forklift Training helps to certificate a person, to ensure they adhere to the Health & Safety laws and can operate the forklift truck safely.

Whilst there are no strict rules on renewals of certification; insurance companies and HSE recommend that all trainees are “refreshed” every three years.

It is the employer’s duty to ensure all their employees have had suitable training on the forklift trucks.

How to get a Forklift Licence

There are many ways to get your Forklift Licence, here at Forklift Agency we offer on-site Forklift Training.

This is where we send one of our highly trained and professional forklift truck instructors to an employer’s premises and train the employees within the comfort of their workplace.

There are many benefits to on-site forklift training, the fact that the employee is training in a familiar environment on a forklift truck they will be using on a day-to-day basis is a huge benefit.

Forklift Training Centres

Forklift Training Centres can offer a classroom and a warehouse environment and is ideal for those unemployed or looking to become a forklift driver.

There are very few grants available nowadays to get free forklift training. We recommend speaking to your local job centre or careers advice centre for more information about using a Forklift Training Centre.

Already employed with access to a Forklift?

If you are already employed by a company and they have a forklift truck available to learn on, but your employer doesn’t want to fund it, you can self-fund.

So long as your employer agree with it, we can train individuals up on-site paid for by yourself. The more people (maximum of 3 trainees), the cheper it becomes. We can also do evening or weekends at no extra charge.
